What is IVF treatment?
In Vitro fertilization or IVF is generally known as test tube baby. It is a process in which eggs are fertilized by sperms outside the body and then the resulting embryos are transferred in the uterus of the women. The process is done in patients who are trying to conceive naturally since a year or have undergone three four failed cycles of IUI.
What is IVF procedure?
This assisted reproductive technique is used for the treatment of infertility in couples; both male and female infertility. The process involves the stimulation of ovaries to boost the production of eggs which are then retrieved from the ovaries. Fresh sperm sample is obtained from the male partner and embryos are formed. These embryos are then transferred in the female uterus after 3 or 5 days.
How successful is IVF treatment?
The success of IVF treatment depends on the particular fertility problem of the couples and also on their age. The younger the patients are, higher are the chances of getting pregnant.

What is Ovulation?
A woman has two ovaries. There are millions of eggs in both the ovaries since the birth of a girl. Once a girl reaches to puberty and starts menstruating, every month a mature egg is released from an ovary. This is called ovulation. It occurs about midway through the menstrual cycle, approximately days 10-18 of a 28 day cycle and is known as fertile window. Ovulation is triggered by a spike in the amount of FSH and LH released from the pituitary gland.

Food and fertility are linked; sticking to a healthy diet boosts the chance of conceiving. Don’t use laptops on your lap and avoid wearing tight boxer shorts. Cut down alcohol intake and quit smoking. Last but not the least follow intercourse regime during the fertile window.
